Tochomae station

Tochomae station is a station in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. It opened in 1997 and is served by the Toei Oedo Line. Tochomae station is connected to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building (Called "Tocho" in Japanese) and is located in the Nishi-shinjuku skyscraper district.

Chuo dori avenue

Chuo dori avenue is the main street of the Nishi-shinjuku area, connecting Shinjuku station and Shinjuku Central Park.

Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building is 48 stories tall and 243.4m high and it houses the headquarters of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. It was the highest building in Japan when it was built. It has 2 observation decks on the 45th floor which is free of charge.

Skyscraper district

The Nishi-shinjuku skyscraper district is a area of the largest concentration of skyscrapers in Tokyo. It was built on the site of the Yodobashi Water Purification Plant and one of the first skyscrapers, the Keio Plaza hotel was built in 1971.
n front of the Shinjuku Island Tower which is one of the Skyscrapers in the area, is the "LOVE" sculpture seen in many TV dramas.
