Verny park is a seaside park, facing the main port of Yokosuka. The park is named after Léonce Verny, a French engineer who directed the construction of the Yokosuka Naval Arsenal. The park has a panoramic view of the Yokosuka naval base, built after the Yokosuka Naval Arsenal, and is a nice place to observe the JMSDF and US Navy vessels.
