The Port of Yokosuka in Kanagawa prefecture, with the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and U.S. Navy base lying within it, is a major naval port. Taking part in a tour of Yokosuka naval port from sea on the Cruise of YOKOSUKA Naval Port.
This day is Culture Day, one of the national holidays, when all JMSDF vessels in port would be in dressed overalls. Also, the icebreaker 'Shirase' was also in port, awaiting to leave for this years Antarctic expedition.
